JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD
Mr. A. A; Moore presided over the monthly meeting of the Johnsonville Town Board on Monday. The Public Works Department notified that the Department's engineers are engaged on the surveying of a direct road from Khandallah to Johnsonville. The Makara County Council asked for decision in connection with the maintenance of Ohariu road. It was decided to inform the council that the board acceded to its terms, the agreement to take effect '''rom the beginning of the next financial year. In connection with the detection of traffic offenders by local authorities, the Commissioner oE Transport requested that the board should advise him of the name and capabilities of the officer appointed i'oi' the duty. A letter of appreciation was received from the Wellington ITree. Ambulance expressing the hope that the board would continue to show interest in the movement.
