GALE FOR OVERHAUL. The Gale, after she leaves Wellington tomorrow for Picton, goes to Lyttelton, where she will lay up for her annual overhaul.
STORM RESUMES. The Storm, which lms been undergoing overhaul at Lyttelton, lu.s resumed, and arrives at Wellington on Monday from the South.

All port records at Southampton (England) were shattered recently when the four greatest speed ships afloat were handled in the course of twenty-four hours. A coincidence led to the White Star liner Majestic (50,021 tons), the United States liner Leviathan (59,950 tons), the Cunarder Berengaria (52,226 tons), and the new Norddeutscher Lloyd liver Bremen (51,561 tone) leaving New York within a few hours of one another and arriving practically simultaneously. They took more than 5000 American holiday-makers to Europe,
