TEACHERS FAREWELLED
Mrs. Eosanna Woodley, Miss . Ethel Williams, and Miss Enid Williams, re- . tiring teachers, .were . farewelled by, I members of the Wellington' '"Education.' Board this morning) - Mr. .T. .Forsyth i (chairman), Mr.,G. L. 'Stewart (secrej tary), Dr. J. M'llraith (soniar inspee- | tor), and several .members of the board, paying tribute ■to their faithful, service. ' ■ ■•.-'. ... . "There axe not very..many/who have stuck to the country districts, and -for that alone. Mrs. Woodley .deserves our best thanks," said'Mr, Foray th in commenting; on Mrs. Woo3ley's23|:years' service in Pahiatua, . Mangaha'o,; and Mikimiki schools; Miss Enid Williams has had 30 years' experience in various Wellington schools,, the last 13- years being spent at the Brooklyn school, where, said Mr. Forsyth, she had beea very, highly esteemed, by the 'headmaster. Miss Ethel AyilliamsKad nearly 25 years' service■;with-"the board to her credit before she- joined, .the staff of Wellington Girls' College in 1920, and her work was also most eulogistically referred to by the chairman.'Members of the board were introduced to the three guests of honour, all of whom returned thanks for .the | kindly remarks made about their work and the good wishes extended to them. ■ ■-, ■ ■ ■ ' :•• :
