GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE
(To the Editor.) Sir, —We believe that your correspondent "Critic" was in error in suggesting that tlie Associated Chambers of Commerce, which is opposed in principle to unnecessary Government interference, in business, had been false to that principle in asking for Government action in respect of coupon trading. ' Investigation will show that the deputation, •which waited upon the Minister, merely asked that legislation which had been enacted in 1000 and consolidated in 190S with the approval of the business community should be made as effective today as it. was originally intended^ to be effective for the purpose of preventing the usr of trading stamps or coupon trading. —I am, etc., G. W. MASSINGHAM, Secretary. Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand.
