As the result of the deputations to the City Council, attention was paid to some of the needs o£ the districts, and much-needed improvements were effected. further efforts, the report advocates, should be made to have Brooklyn road and its footpaths attended to. A now library on a central site is considered to be long overdue. The executive is of tlic opinion that the district is of sufficient importance to warrant representation on the City Council, and a candidate will lie .selected to contest the next civic elections.
