TIME NOT RIPE

LLOYD GEORGE AND ELECTION1

(Keoeivcd Bth December, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 7th December. Referring to Mr. Lloyd-George'f speech on Friday, "The Times" suggests that Mr. Lloyd George's whole case is that circumstances are unpropitious for a General Election. The only; deduction from the speech is the fact that there will be no General Election if he can help it.

A cablegram received on Saturday stated that Mr. Lloyd George, after making a slashing attack on the Government, announced his intention of keeping it in power.
