The Newcastle boxer, Boy Burns (9st 91b), who has recently beaten Heeney, Roberts, and Malcolm, forced a fight against the Sydney boxer, Allan Edgccock (9st 91b), and gained the decision in the sixth round, after a willing bout, in which the loser was punished severely, but stood up gamely to the task.
