TEN SHILLING "TOTE"
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, 6th December. A special meeting of the stewards of the Pahiatua Racing Club was held recently to consider the advisability of installing a ten shillings investment machine at its forthcoming meeting. The opinion was fairly general, in view of the present financial stringency, that it was a move in the right direction, and the advice of Messrs. Marett and Fox is to be sought in the matter. Following their reply, the stewards will again meet and definite action be taken.
