.On Saturday afternoon at Taita the members of the Hutt Valley Gun Club fired the iirst stage of the club championship series, 21 birds off the 12yds mark. The final match of the afternoon was _ a double rise sweepstakes ■of ten birds. and again a keen finish resulted in four competitors tieing for first place with nine birds apiece, and dividing the prize money. • As a result of the first two matches a new club record was established by H.
