MR. GARDEN COMING NORTH
(By: Telegraph.—Press Association.) - . TLMARU, 7th December. Mr. Oscar Garden, accompanied by Captain Haig, arrived at Timaru from Dunedin .on Saturday afternoon. The airmen were met some distance south by two 'planes of the Canterbury Aero Club and were escorted to Washdyke, a few miles north of Timaru, where the men were woleomed by several hundred people. The young aviator, was.then.driven to Timaru, and in the presence of several thousand he was officially welcomed to the town, where he resided a number of years, by the Mayor (Mr. W. Angland). Mr. Garden later paid a Aying visit to Temuka, and in the evening was the gueat of the aero club and municipal authorities' at a dinner which was .largely attended. s The airman will go I<i Chrislchurch
