(By. Telegraph.—Press, Association.) AUCKLAND, 7th December. Yesterday, under ideal conditions, the third series of cricket matches tvas concluded. Eden, 348 (G. L. Weir 73,' Mills 72, Postles 42), beat Parnell, 237. Grafton, MO and 54 for three, beat V.M.C.A.. 129 (Cooper 37 not out). Martin took five for 38. Ponsonby, 226 for seven (declared) and 90 for five (Guiney 48), beat United Suburbs, 336 (Thakobau 08 not out). Cleverley took six for 42. University, 108 and 99 for four (Bush 42 not out), beat North Shore, 126 (Wensley 50). Matheson .took five for 62.
CHRISTCHURCH
CHRISTCHURCH, 7th. December. The fifth round of cricket matches was commenced on Saturday in ideal weather. The larger wickets were in use for the first time. ■ West' Chrislchurch made 165 (Champness 33, Bear 33 not out). Bowling: J. lrrasei" took five wickets for 46, Thomson four for 25. St. Albans has lost one for K53 (Condliffe 79, Page 36). Lancaster Park has made 120 (Kerr 59). Cunningham took four wickets for 52 and Davis three for 20. In the second innings it made one for 19. East Christchurch has made 69. Read took four for 32, Cromb six for 32. j Old Collegians have made ISS (Johnston 34, Lester 39, R. O. Talbot 83 not out). Merritt has taken six wickets for 83. They played . Old Boys, who have lost five for 15G (Merritt 78). Riccarton has made 176 (Jacobs 3S, Stringer 33). Bellamy took seven for 59. Sydenham has lost three for 69.
DUNEDIN
DUNEDIN, 7th December. Cricket matches were played,under ideal I conditions. Grange, playing Dunedin, declared with 312 for nine. Duuedin replied with 160 (Cavanagh 49 not out, Badcock 49). Elmes took three 'wickets for 47. Its second innings has produced 151 for six (Ditchfield 54, Coupland 37). Lemiu took two for 21. Old Boys, 305 for five (declared) and four wickets for 29 (Silver took two for 5 and M'Gavin two for 2). beat Albion, 231 (Barron 67, Vorrath 45). Alloo took four for 37 and Leader four for 27. j Carisbrook, S8 mid 100 for six (Cameron not out 47), beat Christian Brothers, S6 and 144 (Brookes 36, Blair 33). Blunt took three for 28 and Nimmo four for 53. Granite, Old Boys,- and Carisbrook secured fwo-point wins on the first innings. Playine for Grange second grade B against High School Old Boys. Allen compiled 111 not out.
