Mutton Market: Wethers, weaker through increased pressure to sell. Ewes, steady with no change in. prices. Beef: Market is depressed through low prices of Argentine chilled beef. . N.Z. Porker Pigs: Trade slow, especially for heavyweights, owing to heavier supplies of Home killed. SOUTHERN FREEZING INDUSTRY. Messrs. T. Borthwick and Sons (Australasia), Ltd., have reopened their Canterbury works for the season. The New Zealand Refrigerating Co., Limited, in view of the backward nature of the season, which has-resulted in fewer lambs.offer-ing-at this'period than in previous;years, has not yet announced the re-opening of its works at Islington, but there is a possibility of work being commenced before Christmas. No information is yet available of the date of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, Ltd., to resume operations.
