(Received Bth December, 2.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, 7th December, j All semblance of bi-partisan Congressional accord with President Hoover I vanished when the Senate Agricultural j Committee unanimously approved of a sixty million dollar drought relief pro- j gramme in disregard of a twenty-five million. dollar Administration proposal.
Senator M'Nary,' Chairman of the Committee, announced. that he would report tho sixty millions measure to the Senate on Bth December for prompt passage. Meanwhile it is foreseen that the passage of this and other contemplated Bills will apparently increase the year's Treasury deficit from ISO million dollars, as contemplated in President Hoover's Eudget, to 330 millions.
