FOOD FOR TROOPS
DROPPED BY PARACHUTES
(Eeceived Sth December, 2 p.m.) DELHI, 7th December. Food supplies for a * thousand me* during their two days' march from. Dargai to Chitral, were dropped from aeroplanes by the aid of parachutes. Fourteen aeroplanes delivered threa tons daily, making four journeys from the base over difficult mountainous country. Forty-eight out of fifty-six parachute loads were delivered safely; on. the first day, and every load but tw« on the second.
