MYSTERY OF THE SEA

AN ABANDONED KETCH

(Received 6th December, noon.) LONDON, sth-December. The Marie Celeste mystery is recalled by the discovery by three Jersey fishermen of the abandoned French ketch Combresol off Larocque,' on a rocky part of the Jersey coast. Sho was drifting aimlessly with all lights burning and the engine running. The sails were set, but there was no sign of life. The fishermen boarded the ketch and brought her to St. Helier Harbour. An untouched breakfast stood on the cabin table. * So far the widest inquiries have not revealed any trace of the- crew.
