Pressure distribution Is practically unaltered, an anticyclone still being situated ovev the Tasman' Sea and a depression to the east of tlio South Island. West or south-west winds have predominated, moderate generally, but of strong to gale force at times about Foveaux Strait. Some isolated showers have fallen, principally in the western districts and in the extreme north and south, but otherwise the weather has been fair to fine.
