REICHSTAG PROTEST
BERLIN, 2nd December. German-Polish tension is revealed by resolutions from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Beiehstag ■which, despite Dr. Ourtius 's opposition, demanded a repudiation of the negotiations for the Germano-Polish Commercial Treaty, and a revocation of the liquidations agreement with Poland. j Tho resolutions also protested against the acts of terrorism against German minorities and insisted on the punishment of the guilty Poles and compensation for the ■victims. The committee rejected a Nationalist motion advocating tho raising of an army of 100,000 unemployed to protect Germany against Poland; also urging Germany's withdrawal from tho League, but agreed to a demand for the recall of Gorman representatives from the Preparatory Disarmament Conference because the other Powers wero not fulfilling their obligations. On 27th November tho German Cabinet dispatched a 25-page protest to the League of Nations against tho terrorism of Germans in Polish Silesia, especially at the week-end elections, when many were maltreated. Horr Wirth, Minister of tho Interior, hastened to Silesia to calm the inflamed Germans.
