TE ARO SCHOOL

■ The-.monthly meeting of the Te Aro .School' Association was held last week. There have been many changes iv the staff of the school during the .year, through promotions of some teachers and sickness: of others, and those left with temporary assistants have had a very strenuous time. Before the schools break up for -the'holidays a concert is to be held in aid of the Children's Fund. All the items will be given by the pupils of the-school. _ ■ • The infant children, under the direction of Miss Webb, are to give a demonstration of their drill and rhythm work shortly, and members of the association will provide afternoon tea, sweets, cakes, and a produce stall. As a result of an interview recently with the Minister of Education concerning the building of the new Te Aro School on the old site, the Minister has informed the association that the plans have been approved by the Wellington Education Board, and that it is expected that the board will be able to cull for Lenders bci'orc the schools br«ttk up.
