MAN HIT WITH IRON BAR

SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Ist December. Following an altercation at a house in Onehunga to-night, Charles Royal Porter, a single man, aged 30, was admitted to Auckland Hospital suffering from severe injuries to his head. His I condition is fairly serious. [ As a sequel to the altercation, .Prcderj ick William Hardwick was charged at Onehunga to-day with assaulting Porter so as to' cause bodily harm. The police said it was alleged that ( Hardwick struck Porter with an iron] bar. There had been domestic discord. Porter might be a long time in hospital. The accused was remanded on bail.
