ATTACK ON BUTCHERS
THE MEAT DISPUTE
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Ist December, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. An attempt to wreck the barracks occupied by master butchers at Aberr deen who are killing stock for the Sydney trade was made by about thirty men. They maintained a fusillade of missiles, throwing them until scattered by the police, who fired over the heads, of the attackers. Large quantities of blue metal were hurled through the doorways and windows of the barracks, where there were 54 butchers. A wild scatter took place when the police, who are also living on the premises, brought revolvers into play. Additional police are being rushed to Aberdeen. . All is now quiet.
