There was a severe frost in the Wairarapa, on -Saturday morning. It was worst in Masterton, whevo 14.4 degrees of frost -ivere registered, and groat damage was done to vegetable gardens and orchards. The young tomato crops wore very badly hit. There, have been considerable losses among sheep also owing to the unseasonable weather.
