BAD DAY FOR FAVOURITES
Favourites had a bad day on Saturday at the Levin Racing Club's Annual Sleeting, and the poor showings made by some of them are hard to understand. Only one first fancy, Nightmare, won, and two others, Auctioneer and Projection, paid second dividends. Three of the winners were at double figures. The weather was dull, and there was a keen wind. The track was. in good racing shape. The attendance was.up to average proportions, but the totallsator turnover of £14,327. represented a decrease of £4014 on the. investments last year.
