THE FIRST M.P. ?
After making a week-end tour of the Motueka, Takaka, and Nelson districts, Messrs. G-. C. Munns, H. S. S. Kyle, and W. E. Barnard, members of the Parliamentary Tobacco Industry Committee, returned to Wellington this morning by, the Arahura.
The chairman of the Committee, Mr. G-. C. Black, and the secretary, Mr. H. K. Hawkeu, left Nelson by air this morning, and arrived at Eongotai aerodrome, piloted by Mr. P. Dix and Captain Chandler respectively. They were thus able to attend a meeting of the Tobacco Committee at 10 o'clock this morning. It is understood that Mr. Black is the first member of Parliament to fly across Cook Strait.
