"PLUNGE INTO CHAOS"
CHECKMATING REPUBLIC
BERLIN, 22nd September. "We navo the courage to plunge the German Republic into chaos," cried Dr. Goebels, head of the Berlin section of the Fascists' organisation, at a secret meeting, amid the cheers ot his followers.
Goebels went on: "Our object is t«" checkmate the Republic. When w« have won that game, we can begin ma, game with the world/ In this dungheap State a revolution need not ba necessary. ,Our party is wanting polir tical power and will not put up any; longer with the terror sucti as we have been subjected to in the past. Wa enter Parliament to rule alone. Whoever joins us must submit to us." Another prominent Fascist said thfi party would only join the Government if it received the Ministries of War and Interior, and if the Prussian Parliament was dissolved and all the Marxu* officials were dismissed.
