la his brief stay in Christchurch, on his arrivel this evening from Mount Cook, Sir Otto Neimeyei1, met members of the Chamber of Commerce and gave a very brief address, in which he directed attention to the problems^ of instability of the exchange and prices without offering opinions of his own. He did say, however, that he thought New Zealand with many other countries would have to do without gold currency for some time yet. ■ Sir Otto left by the ferry steamer for Wellington.
