Tho Manawatii Gol£'.Club's animal tourney, which commenced yesterday, is invested with, more than usual interest because it is looked upon by many as a tryout lor the New Zealand championships to be played here next month. A number of aspirants for New Zealand honours are present, including D. C. Collins (Wairarapa), the Quin Brothers (Eltham), J. Goss (Wangunui)', H. Blyth (Shannon), I.
