WALKER" BEATS LURICH

AUCKLAND, 22nd September.
George Walker, heavyweight champiou of the British Empire, and Tom Lurich, heavyweight champion of Russia, drew a very large house at the Town Hall. Walker -won by two falls to one. Walker obtained a submission fall in the third round with a reverse toehold and in the sixth with a backward slam. "Lunch's fair was secured in the fifth round with a ,"Figure' Four*'" body scissors and headpress. The bout was staged by the New Zealand Wrestling Association.
