A slight anti-cyclone has been crossing the Dominion with its centre to the northwards. It Is being followed by a rather vigorous depression from the South-west Tasman Sea. Barometers have already • commenced to fall in the far south, and winds arc tending northerly from Cook Strait southwards, but .moderate southerlies were itlll blowing this, morn; ing north of New Plymouth and Napier. Scattered rain fell yesterday and last night In North Auckland, and'on,the east coast between East Cape and Cape Palliser. A few.showers were also reported during the' night about Foveaux Strait. Elsewhere the weather has been fair to fine, and. this morning It was generally so vfith rising temperatures.
