SPRING SHOW

RECORD ENTRIES

Though entries for Jlie Wellington Horticultural Society's Spring Show, to be held in the Town Hall to-morrow and Thursday, fdo not close till 5 o'clock this: afternoon, those received this afternoon, point .to .a record with a considerable margin. In addition to the old growers, some of them from as far away as Taranaki, who have sent blooms to the • Wellington Show,, year after year,, there, are.several-other outside specialists to whom'the-two-day arrangement has evidently appealed. The society is this year.making special provision for the.children's classes, and these promisef to be very interesting. The Mayor, Mr. G. A. Troup,'has donated a number, of special. prizes for competition in these classes. : The show will be opened" to-morrow at 3 p.m. by the Hon.. A. J. Murdoch, -Minister of Agriculture, j. . ■ ■.
