Crawford then went to the front and won .easily by. a length and a quarter In the Shade was throe lengths away third, followed by Waterline. Time, 2min 18% see, which equals the course record. ROSEHILL STAKES, one mile. Phar Lap, 9.4 (Pifce) 1 Nightmarch, 9.3 (R. Reed) 2 High Disdain, 9.0 (Cook) ................. 3 Also started: Don Moon, Limerick, Concentrato, and Western Lass. Without being extended, Phar Lap won by a length, with a length and a half between ' Nightmarch and High Disdain, while Don Moon was fourth. Then came Limerick arid Concentrate. Time, lmln 40sec. The first division of the Highweight Handicap, run over seven. furlongs, was- won by Cleave from King Crow and Broken Doll, In lmln 253isec. The New. Zealand horses Taurua and Prince Otto were left at : the post. The second division went.to Adrian's March, with Coolmint second and Richfield third, in time equal to that of tire first division.
