BROOKLYN CLUB
Two packs, representing 26 runners, covered a trail of about QYs miles on Saturday afternoon, when the Brooklyn HarJ riers Club members were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Burrell, of Lower Hutt. The trail was laid by H. G. Cook andjß. Woods. A run-in over the last 250 yards resulted in L^ Todd and R. Cowie finishing level for first place, with Ashton third. The runners were afterwards given afternoon tea, and the club captain, B. Bibby, thanked Mr. and Mrs. Burrell for their hospitality. Mr. Burrell, in replying, congratulated the club on its recent successes in interclub events, and urged the younger runners to carry on the work so well begun by the older hands. The teams for the Bennett Memorial race are as follow: — A team: B. Bibby (captain), D. Todd, A. Barclay, D. C. Pederseu, G. Prosser. B team: R. O. Pedersen (captain), B. B. Davies, A. Miet, L. C. Todd, D. Sinclair. Emergencies: R. Cowie and ]j\ Chapshaw.
