LENGTHENING LIFE SPAN
Analysing longevity records, statisticians have concluded that the span of human life increased from 35 years in 1800 to 41 years in 1880. During the next ten years, human expectancy, rose to 44 years; by 1010 it had risen to 4S years, by 1920 51 years, and now the average is said to be 56 yeais in England and 48 years in the United States. •
