FLIGHT IN MOTOR-CAR

FOUR MEN ARRESTED

(By Telegraph;— Press Association.)

NAPIER, 21st September. Threo men -were disturbed shortly after midnight on Saturday attempting to force an entrance to the premises of tho Hawkes Bay. Farmers' Co-operative Association in Waipukurau. The men dashed to a waiting motor-car. Some time later four men were arrested in a car near Taradale.

The manager, Mr. L. G. Harker, was advised by telephone that some men were prowling about the premises. In company with a member of the staff he went to the place and found three men who appeared to be about to break in. The'prowlers dashed to a waiting motorcar, in which was a fourth man, who drove straight at Mr.-Harker and his companion. They stepped aside, however, but got the car's number as it sped away.
