OPTIMISTIC NOTE
SIR OTTO NIEMEYER'S
OPINION

CHRISTCHTJRCH, This Day.
Declaring that there was. no occasion for any pessimism regarding the position in New Zealand, Sir Otto Niomeyer, who arrived in Christchureh en route to the Hermitage to-day, said that this country was more happily situated than, most other countries.
Sir Otto said, that he did not feel sure that rock bottom had been reached in the present world depression, and he. was not prepared to say that the value of our primary products had reached their lowest point, but he did not think that there was any justification for despondency.
