PROSPERITY IN BRITAIN
EXHIBITION AT OLYMPIA
British Official Wireless.
(Received 20th September, 11 a.m.)' RUGBY, 19th September.
The Dominions Secretary, Mr. JY H. Thomas, in a broadcast speech at the opening of the National Radio Exhibition, which began at Olympia to-day. said that the wireless industry had been virtually unaffected by the present -world-wide trade depression, and British radio manufacturers were now constructing six new factories which, would cover 200,000 square feet. _There were no unemployed in the wireless j trade, which was steadily absorbing un- i skilled labour. The boom had a far- * reaching effect on other industries. This year's exhibition is twice as large as that of last year, and shows remarkable advances in efficiency and economy.
