: BERLIN, ISth September. Munro, the Australian jockey, was having a practice ride on Baron Oppenheimer's German Derby wiuner Alba, when the colt's loft hind leg snapped and the animal had.to be destroyed. Munro had nine successive wins on Alba, who was unbeaten in any race this season.
