FEILDING STOCK SALE

FEILDING, 19tii September. Iv all the sheep sections prices at the stock sale to-day were slightly easier as compared with those ruling last week. l<at sheep showed a drop of about Is to Is 6d per head, and stores were down somewhat, though comparison would bo hard to make Dairy cattle did not reach the high prices of last Friday, owing to the fact that the yarding was not up to the quality ot the previous week. A heavy yarding of heifers was offered, and those of good quality met a keen demand. There was a small yarding of cows in rough condition, which sold at easier prices. Pat cattle brought quite satisfactory prices, best quality going at just over 40s per 1001b, not only P:A. but Jersey lines also fetching this price. Fat Sheep.—-Fat hoggets, primest 2as 6d, very good 235, good 20s 3d to 23s 2d, lighter 17s sd; bfack faces, woolly, 26s Cd; others 16s 3d to 20s. Two-tooths: Heavy prime, 25s 6d to 26s 6d; prime, 24s 6d to 255. Fat ewes: Maiden, 26s to 275; older primest, 24s 6d to 255; good, 21s 3d to 23s 2d; medium, 18s 9d; light, 14s 6d. Fat wethers: Primest, 27s 3d to 28s; prime, 25s 3d to 25s Bd. Store Sheep.—Ewe hoggets, very good condition, 21s 9d to 22s 6d; good, 18s lOd; m.s. hoggets, 18s 9d; wether hoggets, ISs 6d to 20s Id; b.f. hoggets, good, 17s 9d; others, 13a 3d to 15s 9d; ewes with 100 j per cent, lambs, small line, 27s Id, 225; | five-year ditto, 23s 6d; empty ewes, 135.5 d. Dairy Cattle.—Good quality springing heifers, £11 12s 6d to £12 2s 6d; fair, £9 10s to £10 10s; medium, £8 5s to £9 ss; inferior, £6 to £7 12s; heifers, calved, £C 5s to £7 ss, " • .
Springing Cows.—Very good, £13 to £13 10s; good, £12; poor, from £C 15s to £8; cows in milk, £6 10s. Fat Cattle.—Hereford heifers, to £9 2s 6d; -Hereford bullocks, £13, £15 10s, to £16; heavy P.A.'heifers, £12 10s to £14 8s 6d; heavy Jersey cows, £11 to £11 7s 6d; Jersey heifers, £8 10s;2maiden heifers, £10 10s; store Jersey cows, £4 to £5 10s; Jersey heifers, £4, £4 17s 6d; Jersey yearling heifers, £3 9s to £5 12s 6d; weaner heifers, £4 to £5; forward cows, £5 7s Cd.
