LONDON WOOL SALES
(Received 20th September, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 19th September. Total offerings nt the Wool Exchange to-day were 0055 bales, inelucliuy; 3081 bales New Zealand. Approximately 5600 bales were sold. There was but a moderate: .selection of greasy merinos, suitable for all sections of the trade: also good offerings of all classes of New Zealand wools. Good competition prevailed, and opening rates were maintained. Realisations: New Zealand greasy crossbred*. "Ranui," 9Vid to 8!£d; "Pakira," lOd to f»id. The ••'GeraSd" clip of iiucst scoured sold at 27V4d, and combings made 21d. The top price for halfbreds was 1-kl for the New Zealaxid "Fighting Hall" clip. The highest price for New Zealand halfbred lambs was 12% d. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following wool market cablegram from their London agents, dated 19th September: "Sales continue with a >good tone; competition good and general. Except for inferior descriptions, French buyers operating more freely Crossbred greasy halfbred and crossbred greasy fine, best descriptions, advanced 5 per cent.'
