The weather is fine and the atteudanco good for the opening of the Avondale Spring Meeting, but the track, is holding after rain during the week. Results:—
Maiden Plate, of 200 soys; seven furlongs.—3 Jaeldy Karo, 8.2 (Goulsboro), 1; 2 Bosshire, 8.2, 2; C Arch Eagle, 8.2, 3. Scratched: Spring Song, Tamarado, Armenia, Dominican. Won by a head. Time, Imin 37 2-sscc.
Kingsland Handicap Hurdle Race, of 220 soys; one mile and a half.—4 Air King, 9.0, 1; 3 Daylight,. 9.12, 2; 13 Royal Day, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Glenstar, Sea Cob, Claremore, Respirator. Won by two lengths. Time, "mm 51sec.
