DOMINION DELEGATIONS

INITIAL FUNCTIONS

(Received 19th September, 11 a.m.) BTJGBY, 18th September.

Preparations are well advanced for the Imperial Conference, which begins on 30th September. The Dominion delegations will begin to arrive within the next few days. They will be accommodated in various large hotels, and a fleet of cars will be placed at their disposal during the Conference. On the eve of the opening the British Government will give a banquet in honour of the Imperial guests, at which the Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, will preside, after which there will be a reception to which a thousand invitations have been issued. AH the Prime Ministers will dine with the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace in the following week. (Eeceived 19th September, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 18th September.

Already dozens of public functions have been arranged in honour of the Imperial Conference delegates, beginning with a State dinner at Lancaster House on 29 th September. Their Majesties have fixed an Empire banquet to the Premiers at Buckingham Palace on 3rd October.
