MERCHANT'S CLAIM
GOODS SUPPLIED TO HOTEE
The case in the Supreme Court concerning the Commercial Hotel, Havelock, ill which Hardwicke and Robertson, Ltd.. merchants, of Wellington, sought to recover from either Clarence Mills or William Percy Baker, £219 9s lid, as the balance for goods supplied, was completed yesterday. Judgment was entered by Mr. Justice Ostler for Hardwicke and Robertson against Baker for £219 9s lid, with! costs according to scale, witnesses' expenses, and disbursements. No~costs;wer» allowed Mills.
There was also a case between Bakef and Mills, involving the sale of the good* will of lease and licence of the hotel, furr niture, and effects, in which Baker claimed £350 and costs, and Mills counter-claimed for £500 as damages from Baker for alleged failure to complete the agreement to purchase. His Honour referred the case to the Registrar to make an account as on the. rescission of the contract.between, the parties to see' what .money, •■.if1 anjv should J>e refunded to the plaintiff.- The case was adjourned meanwhile. , .. % .'
