NO ONE TO ACT
The want of a committee or 'commissioner was suggested by _.Mr. J. J. Clark at yesterday's meeting of the Education Board as the reason for a number of broken windows at Te Aro School. Mr. T. Forsyth (chairman) asked Mr. Clark if lie could suggest a commissioner. The board had tried to <*et. several men to act, without success. Mr. Clark gave the name of one gentleman, but the chairman said he had definitely refused to accept the position. "The school is being well maintained under the present arrangement," said Mr. Porsyth. The school was not suffering although, of course, it would be better to have a commissioner or committee. -
