TOWER IN SCHOOL GROUNDS
At yestorday's meeting, of-the-:WeI- j lington Education Board Mr. Wi. V.; Dyer ; referred to the proposed, erection, of a steel tower standard ivith high voltage ■ wires by the Public Wor^s Department ■ on the school grounds at Noriharidale. The tower, he : said, would .be' 20ft by 20ft at the base, and would spoil-the playground. Quite, as. good a line could be got .to the;west, outside the.school area. Tho steel was already on the spot ' but the work' had not been started, and '■ he moved that a protest,be.entered t« the Minister of Public Works complaining at the tower being put up in tha school grounds. .
