The National Forestry Commifc. sioners are negotiating with the Coun* eil of the Duchy of Cornwall for ths lease of 6000 acres of Dartmoor in. connection with a new scheme of afforestation.
The Commissioners hope to plan* the area with Scotch pines, firs, spruce, and birch. Under their scheme* 50,000,000 trees were planted in diffe* cat areas last year.
