It is not often that one sees a loaf of hread more than a few weeks old. There its, however, on view in the "Wanganui Herald" window a small loaf which was bated 30 years ago by Mr. A. E. Swain, who was then in the bread trade in England. On the occasion in question he made two loayes, which he intended should be preserved as a curiosity. One he sent oat to relatives in New Zealand; the other he brought with him soon afterwards, and it haa been in his possession ever since.
Built in sections 250 feet long and SS feet in width a new traffic tunnel connecting Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit. Michigan, has been built on land, floated to its site, and sunk beneath the.waters ol' the Detroit Ivivcr. The completed tunnel is 584.5 feet long.
