NIGHTWATCHMAN'S DEATH

DUKEDIN, 22nd June. i Roderick James Spiers, a nightwatchmanj employed by the Otago Harbour Board, was riding his motor-cycle down Albany street shortly- after 9 o'clock on Saturday evening and was just turning into the main highway when he was run into by a motor-ear and killed almost, instantaneously. The deceased was about 40 years of age and married. An inquest was opened and adjourned sine die.
