CANADIAN LUMBER
PREFERENCE IN AUSTRALIA
VANCOUVER, 21st June.
So pleased are British Columbia lumbermen with the Australian extension of preference on sawn lumber that a resolution of appreciation is likely to be proposed when the Legislature meets.
' Mr. A. B. Munn, a former member of the Legislature, who is now a candidato for the House of Commons, stated that it was very encouraging to sec Australia following Canada in extending Empiro 'preference The placing of Canadian cedar on tho same basis as Californian redwood was especially welcome, but an extension of preference on cedar was also hoped for.
