CLAY BIRD SHOOTING
The Hutt Valley Gun Club held a fif-teen-bird match on Saturday for a trophy given by the Colonial Ammunition Company. The northerly wind caused many misses. The winner of the trophy, Dr. G. F. V. Anson, has been shooting very consistently of late, and won with 13 breaks. 0. G. Pearse was second with 12 breaks. The scores are: Dr. G. F. V. Anson, 11yds, 13 breaks; C. O. Pearse, 10yds, 12; L, A. Caldwell, 20ydS, U; W. J. H. Haase, 16yds, 11; 8. Tisdall, 21yds, 8; A, Scott, 15yds, 8} S. Smith, Myds, 8; Mrs. Anson, 11yds, 8; E. Banish, 18yd8, 7; E. J. Witcombe, llyds, 7; 8. Scott, Byds, 6; R. M'Mulkn,' 12yds, S. " The club intends ■■ to hold a clay; bird handicap shoot on 11th July, open to members of all gun clubs, for prizes of £35, £10, and £5.
