The weather.was changeable and squally with shower's in most districts. The Coolc Strait area, however, and the east coast of the North Island experienced a flno d/iy, but during Saturday, night a temporary change to southerly brought showers in those districts also. Snow fell on the Orongorongos on Saturday night and a heavy hall shower occurred at Eastbourne. Since Sunday.morhing a secondary depression of considerable Intensity has crossed the Dominion and strong and squally west to southwest winds have continued to blow, accompanied by further showers in all districts with a westerly aspect, In Otago. and Southland and the high country of both Islands.
