To make move room for traflic, the 150----year-old town hall of Randers, in Jutland, was recently moved two yards.on trolleys. The building is 64ft long, 31ft wide, and 40ft high. It was moved so smoothly that the clock in the tower did not stop. A Hungarian shoemaker has invented a "heatable" shoe. An electric body is; concealed between the inner and outer soles of the shoe. The wearer may heat it by attaching a connector in the heel with a wall plug. The heat lasts about one and a-half hourK. , Nearly 75 per cent, of the women in the clerical grades of the Civil Service leave sooner or later to be married, the average age of such retirements being 28.
